The Systems team designs, develops, builds and maintains websites and administrative and public-facing applications to enhance marketing efforts and assist in making back-office operations more efficient. We do this by working with the OEM units to identify gaps in functionality provided by central systems or other local systems. The team then works in conjunction with the unit owners to find a solution to fill these gaps by designing and developing new applications or websites or by providing updates and enhancements to existing local applications. We also provide electronic media design services for OEM units.
Many SDD-built systems are hosted on servers maintained by the Office of the Registrar systems group. Others are hosted within the university/UITS environment. You also might find our systems in the sky on a starry night for most of our systems are named after stars or constellations.
Our team consists of web application programmers and an interactive media designer.
