• Launch of a New Photo Archive Website for OEM: Praesepe!

Admissions Operations announces the release of a searchable photo archive for OEM use. Praesepe provides several options, including:

• Browsing photos, searching by categories (IU landmarks, seasons, events, etc…);
• Upload photos - assigning categories, noting the photographer and date, and restricting use to your department or allowing access for any office in OEM;
• Track where photos are used in various electronic and print media.

Praesepe is not a public site.   If you or members of your department are interested in using Praesepe, please send staff names to SDD Systems (sddsys@indiana.edu).   We’ll contact staff members, set up access, arrange a quick tutorial and get you on your way!

• SDD is now Admissions Operations!

The SDD unit is being combined with the operations group from the Office of Admissions to form a new Enrollment Management unit:  Admissions Operations.   The reorganized Admissions Operations area will coordinate and streamline applicant processing, enhance the use of technology, and maintain data quality and management for Admissions. 

OEM leadership has ambitious plans and high expectations for our new unit.   The work we do in Admissions Operations on a daily basis, and in our strategic planning for the future, has a direct impact on the successful outcomes of the recruitment, admissions, enrollment and retention activities of the Office of Admissions and other OEM and campus colleagues.   We will continue collaborating on marketing and recruitment projects with our Admissions and OEM colleagues with whom SDD/PTI has been partnering.    We are putting the finishing touches on several projects to enhance the upcoming application processing season, including expansion of the curriculum project and the rollout of the new eApp.   Automated Data Entry processing for customers throughout the IU system will continue on uninterrupted.   We are also poised to begin work on several longer-term high priority initiatives with OEM and system-wide colleagues; shared services, imaging and workflow, and the one-stop shop.   Admissions Operations will have active participants and leaders on campus and system-wide planning teams and work groups for each of these initiatives.  

The SDD website will soon be replaced by the new Admissions Operations site.   Come back next month to see our new look!
